  • Arrive early.
  • Practice your introduction before you go.
  • Practice your handshake.  Remember eye contact is important.
  • Know your goals for the next four years.
  • Be able to articulate your your strengths and weaknesses and how your failures or weaknesses impacted you in a positive way?
  • Make sure that your email address and facebook accounts are professional.
  • Be sure to turn off your phone.
  • Remember to thank the interviewer and write them a thank you note!

You may have hit the “send” button, requested your transcripts, had your ACT/SAT scores sent, contacted teachers for recommendations…..however, there are files that get “lost”.  It is the student’s responsibility to followup with the admissions office and make sure everything is received.  Don’t wait until the deadline to check on your application status!  The admissions reps love to hear from students!
