Application Tips if you didn’t score well on your SAT or ACT

Uncategorized

Here are a few tips on how to tailor your application so you have the best chance for success:

1) Write the college essay you were going to write–without excuses like “I don’t test well.”
2) Your high-school guidance counselor can weigh in.
3) If there’s an optional essay part of the application, write it!
4) Use online resources. Both the College Board and Princeton Review websites offer full-length practice tests.

If you were “wait listed”

Uncategorized

There are several things you can do to help your chances:

1) make sure you let them know you want to be put on the waiting list

2)talk with your guidance counselor for their recommendations

3)correspond with the admissions rep, advise them of your genuine interest in the school.

4)send the college any updates on your resume, awards, honors, etc.

Remember …

The college wants to learn more about you and why you think you would be a good fit at their institution
